mystery track = Runaway streaker by East Oakland…damn that track rules.

  2. That track by the Entertainers is fabulous! Do you have any info on release date or a biography on this band?
    Thanks for sharing!

  4. Runaway Streaker is correct.

  5. The Entertainers have another 45 on Amber We Don’t Need No Music/I Can’t Do Enough. I also seem to recal a 45 on either Ovide or Pacemaker(both are Texas labels) with The Entertainers listed as back up band.

Hey Brent, I knew of the other Entertainers 45 but not this one. It’s great, as you rightly say. Ovide / Pacemaker label creds sound familiar, have to do some homework. The 21st Gen is very nice too.

the horns by the end of the Entertainers sounds exactly like the ones on sing a simple song by sly stone.
    anyone knows which came first??
    very nice song anyway…

The Entertainer’s 45 is exactly the same as “Introduction” on the Chicago Transit Authority album that came out in late 68 or early 69, even down to the ways drums kick in. They steal it from these guys, or vice versa?
